Universal Studios
Store Design

Project Objective
As the Visual Merchandising & 3D Store Design Intern at
Universal Destinations & Experiences
, I designed and rendered product displays for Universal's brands and partners, including Illumination, Nintendo, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park, while gaining hands-on experience.

Witnessing firsthand how a large company like Universal creates a seamless guest experience from start to finish was incredibly informative. Shown here are some of the key projects I had the opportunity to work on.

Universal UNIVRS Brand Launch

UNIVRS is a new merchandise brand created by Universal, featuring stylish apparel and trendy collectibles inspired by iconic Universal movies and characters. For this project, I created 3D models of the store and merchandise fixtures, as well as assisted in planning product placement. I explored various ways to display the graphic elements both on the interior and exterior of the store.

Villain-Con: Minion Blast Retail Store

This merchandise store accompanies the immersive attraction, Villain-Con: Minion Blast at Universal Studios Florida. I was responsible for ideating and rendering visual designs for the store’s wall bays. Multiple design concepts were presented to the Illumination team, and I incorporated their feedback to refine the final designs, ensuring the space was both visually engaging and functional.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie Marketing Materials

I assisted in producing and managing marketing materials for The Super Mario Bros. Movie merchandise, which was displayed across various store locations at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. I was responsible for creating signage that adhered to the design guidelines set by Illumination and Nintendo, while also coordinating with the marketing team to ensure product displays were prepared on schedule.
